Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Orthopaedic Practice Nurse to join our growing team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

The role of the Orthopaedic Practice Nurse is:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to orthopaedic patients attending Fracture Clinic.
• Conduct pre-triage assessment to support the safe and efficient flow of patients.
• Deliver plaster cast management and wound care in line with best practice standards.
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment, care, and recovery.
• Manage medical supplies within budget allocations, ensuring resources are available and well maintained.
• Collaborate with Orthopaedic Registrars and other healthcare professionals to develop and deliver individualised care plans.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Current registration with AHPRA as Division 1 or Division 2 nurse
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain calm under pressure
• Strong organisational skills and customer-service focused approach.

Now is an exciting time to join the LRH team, with the $223.5 million expansion completed in March 2024, offering improved maternity and paediatric facilities, larger intensive care unit, increased medical and surgical beds and additional operating theatres.
