Latrobe Regional Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join the PECT team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
This role is to co-ordinate and lead a full range of clinical duties including the provision of a high standard of clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment and support to consumers experiencing significant mental health difficulties and their carers/families), ensuring patient centred care, and the achievement of a high standard of quality patient outcomes.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is required to lead the unit in relation to implementing recovery focused care and consumer participation. The NUM is required to coordinate quality improvement and accreditation in addition to taking a leadership role in implementing advanced nursing practice standards, to coordinate the patient flow process and facilitate service reviews. The NUM is accountable for the safety of patients, staff and visitors and the governance of OHS standards
About you
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) Nurse with post basic qualification in psychiatric nursing holding current registration with AHPRA
- A current Victorian Driver’s License
- Currently competent in Basic Life Support
- Desirable - Post graduate qualifications in management
