Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Patient Safety Culture Project Officer to join our growing team on a part-time (0.8EFT), fixed term basis for 6 months.
The Patient Safety Culture Project Officer will play a key role in strengthening safety and quality at LRH. This position is responsible for supporting the measurement, analysis and improvement of patient safety across the health service. By facilitating data collection, analysis, and reporting, you will help identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, and work with clinical and management teams to design and evaluate initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and staff experience.

The role of the Patient Safety Culture Project Officer is:
- Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of patient safety culture measurement initiatives.
- Collect, analyse, and report on patient safety culture data, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with teams across the health service to translate findings into actionable safety and quality improvements.
- Evaluate patient safety programs and compare pre and post implementation results.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for leadership, committees and staff.
- Provide project coordination and stakeholder engagement support for patient safety initiatives.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting for quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools and clinical governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement.
