Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Payroll Officer to join our growing team on a full time or part time, ongoing basis. (Multiple opportunities available)
The Payroll Officer plays a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service to LRH and other regional health services across Gippsland. This position ensures the accurate and timely payment of wages and entitlements in accordance with statutory requirements and organisational policies. The role supports the Pay Office team with record management, leave processing, reconciliations, and audits, contributing to the efficient operation of payroll services.

The role of the Payroll Officer is:
- Process changes to pay details, leave requests, and ad-hoc payments accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies, protocols, and relevant legislation.
- Undertake payroll reconciliations and audits to maintain data accuracy.
- Respond promptly to payroll enquiries, and provide accurate information to staff and authorised agencies.
- Liaise with external parties regarding staff payments details and deductions.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and assist with administrative tasks such as filling, archiving, and record destruction in line with LRH protocols, and relevant legislation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in administrative support and understanding of confidentiality requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with SAP, and Kronos systems, and familiarity with payroll or timekeeping software (desirable).
