Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist to join our growing Pharmacy team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality pharmacy services to inpatients and clinical units across LRH while rotating through various specialty areas including mental health, chemotherapy, general medicine, clinical trials, cardiology, paediatrics, and surgical.

LRH Pharmacy Department has a leading-edge education partnership with Alfred Health Pharmacy Department, a team with a national reputation for excellence. This unique collaboration allows you to gain clinical experience across both a major tertiary and a major regional hospital. Long-term education programs include foundation residency and advanced training residencies in specialty areas such as general medicine, with more programs planned at LRH.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and clinical units.
  • Participate in rotations across specialty areas including mental health, chemotherapy, general medicine, cardiology, paediatrics, surgical, and clinical trials.
  • Contribute to planning and development of new pharmacy programs and services.
  • Support the achievement and maintenance of accreditation standards, including medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Participate in the education and professional development of staff, interns, technicians, and students.
  • Provide education and information to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.

 

About You

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA, without restriction.
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy with a desire for career advancement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and mentor others.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
