The Physiotherapy Department at LRH provides services across a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Our Grade 1 Physiotherapists participate in four-month rotations, gaining valuable experience in:

  • General Medicine
  • Orthopaedic and General Surgery
  • ICU, ED and Short Stay Units
  • Maternity
  • Rehabilitation
  • Geriatric Evaluation and Management
  • Outpatients and Community Rehabilitation (including women’s health, paediatrics, and hydrotherapy)

Key Responsibilities

As a Grade 1 Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment as part of a patient-centred, multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in rotational programs and weekend service across a variety of clinical areas.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with departmental and hospital requirements.
  • Contribute to the education and supervision of students and support staff.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • A Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and continuous improvement.
