Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Physiotherapist (Grade 1) to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

 

The Physiotherapist (Grade 1) provides client-focused, safe and effective physiotherapy services to patients across Latrobe Regional Health. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role delivers evidencebased assessment and treatment in accordance with established standards of clinical practice and organisational policies. This entrylevel to earlycareer position supports highquality patient care across designated clinical areas, with opportunities to participate in rotational programs, weekend services and professional development within a supportive allied health environment.

The role of the Physiotherapist (Grade 1) is to:

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients as part of a patientcentred, multidisciplinary healthcare team, in line with approved LRH practices.
  • Participate in the rotational physiotherapy program and weekend service to meet service delivery requirements across the health service.
  • Liaise and collaborate effectively with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues to support coordinated patient care.
  • Communicate treatment goals and outcomes clearly with patients, families/carers and relevant healthcare staff.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and appropriate clinical documentation in accordance with unit and departmental requirements.
  • Utilise Allied Health Assistants appropriately and contribute to education activities, including support for students and observational placements.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • A Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent, with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Sound foundational knowledge and skills in physiotherapy practice, with the ability to manage an appropriate caseload.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and timemanagement skills, with accurate recordkeeping and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to professional development, continuous improvement and safe, patientcentred care.
  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and/or previous clinical experience in a hospital setting (including undergraduate placements).
