Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Postgraduate Coordinator of Training (Psychiatry) to join our growing team on a part-time ongoing.

 

This will lead the coordination and delivery of the psychiatry training program. This role enables high-quality education, supervision, and clinical experience for psychiatry trainees and prevocational doctors in alignment with the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) requirements. You will play a key role in fostering a supportive learning environment, liaising with training networks, and driving continuous improvements in psychiatry educations across the Gippsland region.

The role of the Postgraduate Coordinator of Training (Psychiatry) is:

  • Coordinate and manage the RANZCP-accredited psychiatry program at LRH.
  • Oversee trainee orientation, allocation and rotation planning.
  • Facilitate access to teaching programs, supervision, and clinical training programs.
  • Organise educational activities such as journal clubs and case presentations.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to trainees and assist with career development.
  • Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and workforce planning activities.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Registered Medical Practitioner with current AHPRA registration.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychiatry education, supervision or training coordination.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to trainee development, wellbeing, and quality clinical education.
  • Additional post graduate education in public health, research or management (desirable)
