Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking an experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist – Grade 2 to join our dedicated Prosthetics & Orthotics team on a full-time ongoing basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality, client-focused services across a diverse caseload, while contributing to the growth and excellence of our service.

You will also play a key role in supervising junior clinicians, technical staff and students, while supporting innovation, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement in patient care.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, contribute to service development, and make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred prosthetics and orthotics services across a varied caseload.
  • Supervise and support Grade 1 staff, technical staff, and students.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, service evaluation, and accreditation processes.
  • Educate staff and students, including leading departmental in-services and supporting professional development.
  • Ensure services provided are evidence-based, efficient, and aligned with LRH standards.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA).
  • Demonstrated experience in both prosthetic and orthotic clinical services.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with funding bodies (NDIS, WorkCover, TAC).
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
