Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Clinical Psychologist - 26+ years to join our Latrobe Valley Community Mental Health team. This role is full time on an ongoing basis.

The position provides psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention to consumers of the Mental Health Service at Latrobe Regional Health, across inpatient, residential and community teams and over multiple sites.  The role will encompass:

  • Engage in psychological work requiring advanced knowledge and skills
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide meaningful feedback, as per the model of care, for adult consumers (aged 26 years or above)
  • Prepare psychological assessment reports, and provide effective and timely verbal and written feedback to consumers, families/carers, referrers, and external agencies such as GPs, NDIS, and disability support agencies
  • Use diagnosis, differential diagnosis, formulation, and the preferences of the consumer and their carers, to develop and deliver effective, evidence-based psychological intervention as per the model of care

 

About you

  • Current general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and consent to ongoing registration checks by Latrobe Regional Health
  • Hold endorsement in Clinical Psychology from the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) approved supervisor, or able to complete supervisor training within six months of accepting the role
  • Current and ongoing employment screening, including but not limited to, National Police Check, employee Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • Minimum of five years professional experience as a Psychologist Grade 2 (or equivalent)
  • Professional and personal integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
