Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is a seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join the Agnes Unit – a specialist 5-bed, 5-6 cot residential program supporting families across Gippsland on a part-time ongoing basis (0.2EFT)
In this rewarding role, you will provide psychological services to parents and infants up to 12 months of age, within a model of care grounded in the Solihull approach, attachment theory, and mentalisation. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, group psychoeducation, and secondary consultation, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
This an exciting opportunity for a psychologist passionate about perinatal and infant mental health, family-centred care, and strengthening parent-infant relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic psychological interventions to parents, infants, and families.
- Deliver group programs focused on attachment and family relationships.
- Contribute psychological expertise to multidisciplinary treatment and recovery planning.
- Provide consultation and liaison to community programs and support smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in service evaluation, research, and development of clinical programs.
- Uphold professional, legal, and ethical standards, including the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in parent/infant psychological intervention.
- Understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnostic frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to culturally safe, trauma-aware, and evidence-based practice.
- Endorsement (or working toward endorsement) in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology. (Desirable)
- Experience delivering perinatal interventions and working in multidisciplinary/public health teams. (Desirable)
- Experience in clinical education, secondary consultation, or supervision. (Desirable)
