Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Registered Nurse (Chemo) to join our growing team on a part time (0.6EFT) fixed term basis until May 2027.
The Registered Nurse (Chemo) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality chemotherapy and related treatments within a patient-centred day unit environment. The role ensures all medication administration aligns with hospital pathways and national guidelines, while maintaining required competencies specific to oncology practice. The position contributes to a supportive, safe and collaborative care environment, upholding LRH values and standards in every aspect of service delivery.

The role of the Registered Nurse (Chemo) is to:
- Administer chemotherapy and associated medications in accordance with clinical guidelines, hospital protocols and established treatment pathways.
- Maintain mandatory training and specialised competencies relevant to chemotherapy practice, including completion for the eviQ Anti-Cancer Drug Administration Course.
- Deliver safe, patient-centred care while monitoring patient responses, escalating concerns and contributing to multidisciplinary communication.
- Uphold LRH policies, procedures and professional standards, NSQHS requirements and all relevant legislative obligations.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by complying with occupational health and safety requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA, with at least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience.
- Integrity, excellent communication skills and strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Adaptability, compassion, empathy and respect in all patient and team interactions.
- Postgraduate qualification in chemotherapy or cancer nursing (desirable).
- Previous experience working within a chemotherapy unit (desirable).
