Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Registered Nurse (Dialysis) to join our growing team on a part time (0.9EFT) ongoing. EFT can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The Registered Nurse (Dialysis) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred renal dialysis care in accordance with professional standards, clinical guidelines and LRH policies. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the role focuses on comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to support optimal health outcomes for dialysis patients.

The role of the Registered Nurse (Dialysis) is to:
- Provide safe, appropriate and responsive dialysis nursing care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Apply critical thinking and clinical judgement to analyse nursing practice, respond to changing patient conditions and evaluate outcomes to inform ongoing care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments at admission, commencement of shift and following clinical changes, prioritising care accordioning to patient needs and risk.
- Maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical documentation, adhering to LRH policies, infection control requirements, medication safety and relevant legislation.
- Foster therapeutic and professional relationships with patients, families and colleagues, supporting dignity, confidentiality, cultural safety and patient involvement in care decisions.
- Contribute to safe clinical environment, effective handover, teamwork, quality improvement initiatives.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with appropriate clinical skills and recent nursing experience.
- Excellent communication skills, integrity and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and care-management skills aligned with ANCI National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
- A patient-focused approach that values dignity, confidentiality, cultural considerations and continuity of care.
- Commitment to professional development, reflective practice, quality improvement and supporting the development of colleagues and students.
