Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Registered Nurse (ED) to join our growing team on a full-time or part-time ongoing basis. EFT can be negotiated for the right candidate.

The Registered Nurse (ED) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This role ensures the well-being of patients remains the primary focus while maintaining professional standards and contributing to safe and effective healthcare practices.

The role of the Registered Nurse (ED) is:

• Provide safe, responsive, and evidence-based nursing care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Engage in therapeutic and professional relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Critically analyse and evaluate nursing practice to improve outcomes for patients and families.
• Maintain capability for practice through ongoing development and adherence to standards and LRH policies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team objectives.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA and relevant clinical experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrates integrity, compassion, and respect for all interactions.
• Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritise care and respond effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Post graduate qualifications in emergency nursing (desirable)

Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.

Now is an exciting time to join the LRH team, with the $223.5 million expansion completed in March 2024, offering improved maternity and paediatric facilities, larger intensive care unit, increased medical and surgical beds and additional operating theatres.
