Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the Nursing team on an either Full Time or Part Time ongoing basis.

 

The Registered Psychiatric Nurse plays a key role in delivering high-quality care to inpatient clients, as well as providing continued support for clients receiving case management who are assessed as stable and requiring psychosocial assistance. Responsibilities include the administration of intramuscular injections and oral medications. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Psychiatric Nurse contributes to the delivery of optimal care for clients of the service and supports their families and carers. 

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Registered Nurse Division 1* or 3, with current AHPRA registration (*Indicates with a formal Post-Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing).
  • Evidence of recent clinical mental health experience.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to mental health clients.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other relevant legislation.
  • Adherence to safe practice standards and policies.
  • Working knowledge of NSQHS and National Standards for Mental Health Services.
