Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Research Data and Support Officer to join our growing team on a Fixed Term until April 2027 (Parental Leave Coverage) - Part Time or Full Time Basis available 0.8 to 1.0 FTE.

 

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Research Data and Support Officer to join our Research and Clinical Trials Unit. Reporting to the Clinical Trials Manager, you will play a key role in supporting research operations through data management, reporting, quality assurance, and administrative coordination. You will contribute to clinical trial activities, performance reporting, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to ensure the successful delivery of research programs and clinical trials.

The role of the Research Data and Support Officer is to:

  • Maintain research databases and records, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, entry, extraction, and reporting.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and performance metrics to support funding requirements, governance activities, and key performance indicators.
  • Support clinical trial operations through the management of assessment data, participant payment schedules, sponsor billing information, and financial monitoring processes.
  • Develop and maintain written and visual communications, including website content, stakeholder updates, and reporting materials.
  • Assist with quality improvement activities, audits, document reviews, monitoring processes, and accreditation requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Research and Clinical Trials Unit while collaborating with internal stakeholders, researchers, healthcare professionals, and external partners.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Highly organised administration or data professional with experience managing databases, reports, and process-driven tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills, including the ability to collect, extract, interpret, and present data in meaningful reports and visual formats.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, and confidence working with multiple databases and information systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional reports and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, work independently, and consistently deliver accurate outcomes.
  • A collaborative team player who is committed to continuous improvement, quality processes, and supporting the success of research and clinical trial programs.
