The Gippsland Local Health Service Network (GLHSN) is looking for one (1) full-time or part-time at 0.8 FTE Improvement Advisors to join our team on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2026. The positions can be located anywhere from Warragul, through to Traralgon and Sale, with remote working options available. 
 

Reporting to the Gippsland Local Health Service Network (GLHSN) Safer Together Project (STP) Co-Ordinator, the primary goal of the role is to foster collaboration between Gippsland Health Services and steer effective implementation of the STP. 

 

The Gippsland Local Health Service Network has a focus on identifying opportunities to reduce duplication of effort across the region between Health Services while building the sustainability of shared services to ensure our consumers receive safe, quality care in the right place and at the right time. 

 

The Safer Together Improvement Advisor will be an expert in directing the steps of quality improvement, problem solving, quality design and change management. By working directly with Health Services across Gippsland, the role will support the implementation of the STP aims. It will be expected that the role will work with sub-regional collections of Health Services, working between campuses and acting as a local improvement resource for teams to utilise conducting audits, collecting data and providing hands on support to successfully deliver improvement initiatives. This role will need to work in partnership with Gippsland Public Acute Health Services, as well as system partners such as the Department of Health, Safer Care Victoria and other Victorian Health Services.   

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will:

  • Tertiary qualification in a healthcare discipline or related area.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare system, either in a direct service delivery role or a related role. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management and quality improvement, change management and associated methodologies. 
  • Highly developed organisation skills.
  • Ability to determine priorities.
  • Ability to influence others and negotiation. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of staff, including senior clinical staff, senior management and executive staff. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 
  • Able to work remotely with a broad and diverse stakeholder group across the Gippsland region.
