Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Senior Administrative Officer to join our Private Consulting Suites on a part-time ongoing basis at 72 hours, 9 days a fortnight 08:30 to 17:00.
As our Senior Administration Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy reception and administrative team. In addition to coordinating patient arrivals, appointments, telephone enquiries and office practices, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to the team to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
You will take greater responsibility in areas such as billing oversight, staff supervision, workflow coordination and quality assurance, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant and patient-focused. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on both team performance and patient experience.

The role of the Senior Administration Officer is to:
- Coordinate daily administrative operations of the Consulting Suites, ensuring efficient workflows and a high standard of customer service.
- Supervise and support administration staff, including rostering, shift management, onboarding, and day-to-day guidance in the absence of the Practice Manager.
- Assist with recruitment activities, workforce planning, and staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and service continuity.
- Generate, maintain, and analyse operational reports to support service planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support patient flow management, telehealth consultation coordination, and the timely resolution of patient and stakeholder enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records, manage administrative processes, and contribute to a professional, efficient, and patient-focused environment.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Experienced administration professional with strong organisational, coordination, and leadership skills in a busy office or healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated experience in staff rostering, report generation, and managing multiple competing priorities.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, data entry, and administrative systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service and stakeholder engagement.
- A detail-oriented professional who is committed to continuous improvement, efficiency, and delivering high-quality administrative support.
- Have sound knowledge of billing processes and administrative quality standards
