Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy (Grade 3) to join our Occupational Therapy team. This role is pivotal in delivery expert, evidence-based care for patients with traumatic and post-operative conditions affecting upper limb function. As a recognised clinical specialist, you will manage a caseload, provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. This is an opportunity to share patient care and build workforce capability within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role of the Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy is:
- Deliver and model expert, evidence-based hand therapy services, including assessment, intervention, and splinting.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to Grade 1 and 2 Occupational Therapists, students and Allied Health Assistants.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure to integrated, patient-centred care.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement, policy development, and service evaluation activities.
- Manage resources efficiently and ensure compliance with organisational policies, safety standards, and NSQHS requirements.
- Contribute to workforce development through education, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Extensive experience in hand therapy, including splinting, exercise prescription, and wound/scar management.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a proven ability to build team capability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement.
