We currently have a position for a Senior Community Clinician in our Latrobe Valley Mental Health team this is a great opportunity to join our friendly and passionate Mental Health Team on a full-time, ongoing basis. Part time opportunities may be considered for suitable candidates.
These roles provide clinical and support services and are responsible for diagnosing, care coordination, providing evidence-based treatment, psycho-education and consumer and family collaboration across the team.
These positions includes conducting assessments in a timely manner as determined by risk, urgency, distress, dysfunction and disability per the National Mental Health Triage Scale, utilising the CMI (Client Management Interface) database and perform urgent acute clinical assessment and routine assessment, working with consumers and carers in safety planning and promoting and delivering high-quality, evidence-based holistic treatment (pharmacological and therapeutic intervention) within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework.
Our Mental Health Team services a diverse caseload in the acute and subacute inpatient units of our hospital and also provides Community Mental Health Services in various areas of Gippsland. As the regional referral hospital for Gippsland, LRH plays a lead role in the provision of specialist services and as a major teaching hospital.

About you
Ideal candidates for these roles will be:
- Registered Nurse Division 1 with a formal post-Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, or
- Appropriate post graduate qualification in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA, or
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work and eligibility or other qualification acceptable for membership to AASW
- Experience in working in Mental Health service
- Be available to work within a 7 day rotating roster including afternoon shifts
- Provide a high standard, effective Community Mental Health service.
