Latrobe Regional Health is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team on a Full Time (40 hours/week with an ADO) from July 2026 – November 2026.
The Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical occupational therapy services across designated units, managing an individual caseload while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The position also provides strong clinical and professional leadership, offering supervision, guidance, and support to staff and students.

The role of the Senior Occupational Therapist is to:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services, manage a clinical caseload, and contribute to patient-centred, multidisciplinary care.
- Offer clinical supervision, support, and guidance to occupational therapists, allied health assistants, diversional therapists, and
- Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy services, policies, and procedures, participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Build strong interdisciplinary relationships, promote collaborative care, and model positive, professional communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Superior knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of evidence based occupational therapy clinical services, including as this relates to hospital discharge practices
- Demonstrated independent professional practice, professional integrity and quality collaboration within an inter-professional team, responding effectively and flexibly to multiple clinical and organisational priorities whilst ensuring safe, appropriate, efficient and effective service delivery and resource allocation.
- High level of knowledge and skill in identifying clinical risks and risk management/mitigation strategies.
- Well-developed clinical and professional leadership skills, including the ability to provide high quality supervision to staff and students that promotes improved professional competence and ability to support the wider team.
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), Bachelor Occupational Therapy, M.O.T Prac. or recognised equivalent degree
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
