Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Service Desk Officer to join our growing team on a full-time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

 

Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, you will provide Level 1 ICT Support, deliver exceptional customer service, and assist in maintaining and improving ICT systems across GHA member sites. This role offers variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality ICT services in a healthcare setting.

The role of Service Desk Officer is:

  • Provide Level 1 support for ICT products and services listed in the service desk product catalogue.
  • Triage and prioritise incoming calls, ensuring accurate and timely collection of details.
  • Maintain and develop Service Desk documentation, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Assist in implementing new processes and promoting Service Desk usage across GHA sites.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Support application teams with incident, problem, and change management processes.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer systems and ability to work within a team.
  • Basic ICT knowledge (ITIL certification and formal IT qualifications desirable).
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Experience with ITIL-based Service Desk Software and MS Windows/Office Systems (desirable).
