Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Social Worker (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to join our growing team on a full time or part time ongoing. Multiple opportunities available.
Join our dynamic Social Work team at LRH and make a meaningful impact on patient care and wellbeing. We are seeking passionate and skilled Social Workers (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to deliver person-centred, trauma-informed services across a diverse range of hospital settings. The role involves psychological assessment, counselling, discharge planning, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

The role of the Social Worker is:
- Deliver person-centred culturally safe, and trauma-informed social work services aligned with the AASW Code of Ethics and relevant legislation.
- Complete comprehensive psychological assessments and provide counselling, advocacy, and discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
- Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary care planning, clinical reviews, and family meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records and departmental systems.
- Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and professional development activities; Grade 2 staff provide mentoring and supervision to students and junior colleagues.
- Contribute to a positive, psychologically safe team environment and engage in quality improvement.
About you

- Reflective, curious, and open to feedback, with a commitment to learning and professional growth.
- Empathetic, adaptable, and collaborative with excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in mentoring and supporting others, fostering inclusion and psychological safety (Grade 2).
