Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Speech Pathologist (Grade 2 or 3) to join our growing team on a part time or full time ongoing. EFT negotiable with the successful candidate.
We are seeking a passionate, skilled and team-orientated Paediatric Speech Pathologist (Grade 2 or Grade 3) to join our growing Speech Pathology team. This role provides high-quality paediatric assessment and intervention for children aged 0-18 years, with opportunity for leadership, supervision and advanced practice in paediatrics feeding and dysphagia.

The role of the Paediatrics Speech Pathologist (Grade 2 or 3) is to:
- Deliver evidence-based paediatric speech pathology services across feeding, dysphagia, communication and early development.
- Provide specialised assessment and intervention for infants, young children and adolescents.
- Conduct feeding and dysphagia management in individual and/or group settings, including inpatient and special care nursery support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in neurodevelopmental, rehabilitation and acute care services.
- Participate in and/or lead quality improvement activities and service development and acute care services.
- Maintain accurate documentation, manage caseloads effectively and meet departmental service standards.
- Paediatric caseload may include the following feeding and dysphagia management for outpatients and inpatients (including special care nursery), Victorian Paediatrics Rehabilitation Service, Neurodevelopmental Clinic assessments (infants up to 24 months). There may be an opportunity for management of mixed/adult caseload for interested applicants with suitable experience.
- Supervise Grade 1 Clinicians, students and allied health assistants and/or leadership opportunities.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology including eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric feeding and dysphagia management, from pre-term infants to adolescents.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing and managing paediatric communications disorders.
- Experience in supervising junior clinicians, students and/or AHAs.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- Experience in feeding and communication assessment and management of infants in MDT settings/clinics (desirable)
- Experience in leading group therapy for paediatrics clients with feeding issues.
