Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Speech Pathology Manager to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

 

The Speech Pathology Manager provides strategic leadership and operational management of Speech Pathology services across the health service, ensuring client-focused, efficient, and high-quality care. This role oversees service delivery systems, budget management, staff recruitment and development, and compliance with standards, while driving quality improvement and innovation. The manager will lead change initiatives, manage risk, and maintain effective performance systems, contributing to patient flow and organisational goals. A clinical caseload may be required to support operational needs of the health service.

The role of the Speech Pathology Manager is:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective service delivery systems.
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor KPIs, and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Recruit, develop, and maintain an engaged and skilled workforce.
  • Drive quality improvement, innovation, and risk management initiatives.
  • Oversee policy and protocol review and implementation.
  • Provide high-level decision-making and manage complaints effectively.
  • Carry a clinical caseload as operational demand requires.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience preferably within a health service setting.
  • Strong financial management skills and understanding of statutory requirements.
  • Commitment to NSQHS standards and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in managing Speech Pathology services in acute and sub-acute settings (desirable).
