Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Theatre Technician to join our growing team on a full-time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.
The Theatre Technician supports the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services by assisting the surgical team in preparing and maintaining the operating environment. This role is responsible for the setup of operating rooms, management and movement of equipment (including radiotherapy equipment), and ensuring patient safety during transfers and procedures. The Theatre Technicians contributes to maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised clinical environment in accordance with LRH policies, procedures, and standards.

The role of the Theatre Technician is:
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms and associated areas to ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
- Assist with the safe transfer, positioning and mobility of patients before, during and after surgery.
- Operate, maintain and report faults in surgical and radiological equipment in accordance with safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing, medical and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient outcomes.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technical Support or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic surgical environments and changing priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining equipment functionality.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and accountability in all aspects of your role.
