Acute Care Administration Clerk

Grade 2

Casual – Immediate Commencement

The Acute Care Administration Clerk provides clerical, IT systems support and contributes to optimum patient information management, while working with the healthcare team across all acute care settings. This role provides assistance with patient information management in clinical systems and medical records with the requirement for appropriate filing and storage of health information beyond discharge, in the medical records setting. This role involves varied shift times and days across a 7 day roster.

To be suitable for this role you must have:

  • Organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and discreetly handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity and willingness to be flexible and to adapt to changing environments
  • Demonstrated previous administration, health or ward clerk experience is preferred
