Are you good with a mop and a roster? Do you enjoy keeping things running smoothly and supporting a team to do their best work? South Gippsland Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Environmental Services Manager to join our small rural health service.
In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll combine practical cleaning expertise with the ability to guide, support and coordinate a dedicated Environmental Services team. We are looking for someone who can:
- Work confidently in a health care cleaning environment and maintain high standards.
- Support, guide and train staff in safe and effective cleaning methods.
- Coordinate rosters and daily routines to keep the service running smoothly.
- Follow health, safety and accreditation standards and help the team do the same.
- Use computer systems at an intermediate level, including Word, Excel and digital record‑keeping tools.
- Bring a positive attitude, good communication and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Work across a rotating roster, including some weekend shifts, to ensure consistent service coverage.
Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not essential — we’re happy to support the right person to grow into the role.
