South Gippsland Hospital (SGH) is a public rural health service providing integrated acute hospital and community care services. Care is delivered through our Community Health Centre, Banksia Centre, and in clients’ homes across the region. In partnership with the doctors of Foster Medical Centre, SGH supports the health and wellbeing of the Foster community and surrounding areas, including Wilsons Promontory.
South Gippsland Hospital is seeking a motivated Payroll Administration Officer to join our team. The Payroll Administration Officer is responsible for undertaking the day-to-day end-to-end processing of South Gippsland Hospital’s payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and within required timeframes and in accordance with applicable Enterprise Agreements, Awards, legislation and organisational requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated payroll experience, with the ability to process an end-to-end payroll accurately and within required timeframes.
- Previous payroll experience within a health service or similar complex employment environment is highly desirable, including an understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and relevant employment conditions.
- Experience using payroll, rostering and HR information systems, preferably SAP Payroll, Kronos and SuccessFactors.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, undertake payroll checks and ensure employee payments and deductions are processed correctly.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict payroll processing deadlines.
- Sound numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee enquiries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide timely and professional payroll advice and assistance to employees and managers.
- Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
