Allied Health Assistant - Grade 2

Health & Allied Services, AHA Grade 2 (IN29 - $31.65 p/h)

(Junior rates apply to employees aged under 19 years) 

 

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to be employed on a permanent or fixed term, full time, part time or casual basis, delivering therapy programs designed by qualified allied health professionals.  Hours may be worked in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work or Dietetics.  The job may also involve general administration duties including computer data entry, cleaning and tracking of equipment, ordering of stock, etc.

Casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

 

Required skills and experience include:

  • Qualification – Cert III or IV Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the provision of AHA services or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity Microsoft Office software.
