An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Clinical Educator- Social Health. This is a Permanent part-time position, up to 40 hours per fortnight.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range of education and development services, including but not limited to in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, and staff development education, especially in the area of Family Violence and Child Safety training.
We are seeking applications from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people with a passion for learning and development to work collaboratively in providing high-quality learning opportunities, using a range of modalities that support and enable participants to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals.
This stimulating role would suit an experienced Social worker who has clinical expertise in the area of Family Violence and Child Safety and is flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challenge and enjoys working within a team that is dedicated to providing great service to their client group. Our preferred candidate will have:
- Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Social Work, including demonstrated practice in Child Protection, Family Violence and related social health areas.
- Experience in clinical education, training development and/or clinical supervision.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in education, clinical education or social health practice.
- Strong understanding of Child Safe Standards, MARAM, SHRFV and relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or currently studying towards this qualification, or relevant tertiary qualification in education
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
