As advancements in technology are transforming Business Intelligence and West Gippsland Healthcare Group is expanding, the necessity for a brand new senior leadership role is more important than ever!
We have a rare opportunity for a values-led and people-centred leader to manage the Financial Services Business Intelligence Division at Warragul Hospital. This stimulating role would suit a strategic innovator wishing to make a real difference with a focus on results, high performance and excellence. You will be collaborative within a leadership team that supports and contributes to a culture of accountability and improvement to deliver the best evidenced-based care to our community.
Reporting to the Executive Director Financial Services you will provide exceptional advice and support to the CEO/WGHG Board and the broader Executive team regarding financial matters including but not limited to health funding, workforce planning, and digital and information systems. This position is primarily responsible for providing accurate and appropriate costing of patient activity for WGHG in accordance with the CCSAA Standards.
Our preferred candidate will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in a related field along and/or relevant industry experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in dashboard development, with a strong focus on engaging stakeholders to co-design wireframes and translate business requirements into meaningful visualisations
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategy, as it relates to healthcare data.
• Proven track record and extensive health services management experience within a large complex organisation, preferably within the area of operational planning and performance
• Experience with reporting systems, business intelligence, business analytics, data marts/warehousing, data modelling, dashboards and portals
• Experience or knowledge of an EMR, eHealth system or other health care clinical applications
• Proven ability to deliver data literacy and Power BI training sessions tailored to both clinical and non-clinical audiences, improving end-user adoption and self-service capability.

• Aptitude to learn quickly and apply knowledge across different contexts
• Resilient and flexible approach to work
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
