Are you passionate about ensuring organisations are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and critical events?

West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Lead to drive organisational readiness and resilience across our services.

In this key role, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of emergency management and business continuity systems, ensuring our people, patients and community remain safe during times of disruption.


About the role

Reporting to the Director Health, Safety and Wellbeing, you will:

  • Lead emergency management and business continuity frameworks, systems and plans
  • Coordinate organisation-wide emergency preparedness activities
  • Design and deliver training and simulation exercises
  • Provide expert advice to leaders and Incident Command Teams
  • Lead audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

About you

You are a proactive and collaborative professional who brings:

  • Experience in emergency management and/or business continuity
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. AS 4083, NSQHS Standards)
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to analyse information and drive practical improvements
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes

Relevant qualifications (Emergency Management, TAE, AIIMS) are highly regarded.
