We have opportunities to join the Food Services Department at West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) in the role of Food Services Assistant. Reporting to the Food Services Manager you will work in the Warragul Hospital kitchen, within a motivated and dedicated team that provides meal services to hospital inpatients and Cooinda Lodge aged care residents.

Position 2 – Food Services Assistant (Casual)
Hours: Casual positions are used to backfill shifts and do not include regular hours, although evening and weekend availability is essential. We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, and free car parking.
Mandatory skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Willingness and ability to complete regular online training modules
Desirable:
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
- Previous food services experience
- Previous experience working in large work group
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
