An opportunity has arisen to join West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Hotel Services Manager. Reporting to the General Manager Facilities Management, you will lead a committed and capable team delivering essential support services across the organisation.

Working closely with Environmental and Food Services teams, you will guide the delivery of patient food and beverage services, café and canteen operations, environmental hygiene and waste management across hospital and aged care sites. This role plays an important part in supporting high quality, safe and consistent services that contribute to positive patient and resident experiences.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader who values teamwork, builds strong relationships and brings a practical and supportive approach to developing people and improving services. You will be comfortable working across multiple sites, leading change and partnering with stakeholders to achieve great outcomes for our community.

This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week, to be worked from Monday-Friday, exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.  We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, in house salary packaging and free car parking.

 

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, facilities management or a related field, or equivalent experience managing similar services
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver high quality, consistent services
  • A strong focus on service quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to build team capability through coaching, mentoring and clear direction
  • Experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance
  • Well developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills

 

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

  • Experience working within a healthcare environment
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline

 

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
