REGISTERED NURSE

Consulting Suites

Permanent Part Time, up to 72 hours per fortnight

Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement, Grade 2

 

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurses for our Consulting Suites in permanent part‑time (72 hours per fortnight) capacity.

The Clinical Nurse will assist with maintaining the efficient running of the Consulting Suites by assuming responsibility for all nursing actions, whilst having the authority to make decisions and being accountable for all actions concerned with patient care.

We are seeking a nurse who demonstrate strong clinical competence, professionalism, adaptability and a commitment to West Gippsland Healthcare Group’s vision, mission, values and agreed critical strategies.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree  
  • Grade 2 or above 
  • Minimum 5 years Clinic Nurse Experience 
  • Evidence of recent clinical experience. 
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA. 
  • Expert clinical nursing experience. 
  • Expert knowledge in wound care 
  • Experience with Clinic Nursing in the following fields; Gynaecology, Colposcopy, Urology, General Surgery and Orthopaedics   
  • An understanding of Vaccination protocols 
  • Interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, consultants and other personnel. 
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel as well as clinical software 
  • A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements. 
  • Responsible and mature work attitude. 
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.

 

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous: 

  • Previous Experience within a hospital or health care environment. 
  • Previous use of Genie Practice Software
