Health and Allied Services Agreement, Instrument Technician Grade 3 - 4 ($36.00 - $37.19 p/h) (dependant on skills and experience)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Instrument Technician Grade 3 - 4 to join our team on a casual basis at West Gippsland Healthcare Group.
The role involves performing sterilising services duties and supporting daily CSSD operations while ensuring compliance with AS 5369:2023, infection prevention and control standards, and quality requirements. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary environment and is expected to operate autonomously with minimal supervision, contributing to safe and efficient instrument reprocessing.
Casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong knowledge and experience in sterilising services and reprocessing standards
- Practical knowledge of AS 5369:2023 standards
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
