An exciting opportunity is available for physiotherapists across varying grades to deliver high-quality physiotherapy services at WGHG on a casual basis. Services are primarily provided at the hospital site, across acute wards, subacute services, outpatient clinics, and community rehabilitation.

The role requires a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for, and remain committed to, ongoing personal and professional development.

We offer a supportive, team-focused environment, along with a comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation.

Casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

 

Our preferred candidate will have:   

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.

 

The following experience/knowledge would be considered advantageous:

  • Experience in a hospital or acute setting.
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
  • Knowledge of issues relevant to regional/rural areas.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

 

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
