An exciting opportunity has arisen for physiotherapists to provide skilled physiotherapy services at WGHG on a casual basis including weekend work.   Services will be provided primarily at the hospital site across the acute wards, subacute, outpatients and community rehabilitation.

 

The position requires a demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team. The Physiotherapist accepts responsibility for, and maintains commitment to, personal and professional development.

Our preferred candidate will have:   

 

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.

 

The following experience/knowledge would be considered advantageous:

 

  • Experience in a hospital or acute setting.
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
  • Knowledge of issues relevant to regional/rural areas.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

 

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
