A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and customer focused person to join the team at our Consulting Suites. The function of this position is to perform reception and associated office duties for the specialist consultants who utilise the facilities of the Consulting Suites of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group as well as any other duties deemed appropriate by the Practice Manager.
This is a permanent fulltime position of 76 hours per fortnight or 80 hours (+ monthly ADO) per fortnight. The hours may be offered to one applicant or split across multiple applicants.
Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

Our preferred candidate will have:
- Experience in providing frontline medical reception services, administrative and office support functions in a GP, Specialist clinic or similar environment.
- Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of health privacy principles.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
- Certificate in Health or Business Administration.
- Familiarity with Genie medical software.
- An understanding of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of MBS billing
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
