Surgical & Paediatric Unit

We currently have multiple Permanent Full Time and/or Part Time opportunities, as well as a Fixed Term Part Time position (up to 64 hours per fortnight – parental leave backfill) and Casual opportunities, available in our Surgical and Paediatrics Ward for suitably qualified Nurses. Casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.
We are seeking Registered Nurses who are reliable and motivated, enjoy contributing to a hard‑working multidisciplinary team, and are dedicated to making a positive difference to the health care of our patients. Experience in surgical nursing is highly regarded but not essential, as you will be well supported by a dedicated and experienced team of nursing professionals within the surgical and paediatric environment

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in a Surgical or Paediatric Nursing environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
