Undergraduate Nursing Workforce Coordinator
Permanent Part-time, up to 32 hours per fortnight

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Undergraduate Nursing Workforce Coordinator. This is a Permanent part-time position at 0.4 FTE. This position will be responsible for the coordination, governance, workforce planning, quality oversight, and operational integration of the Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing and Midwifery programs (RUSON/RUSOM/REN) within the health service.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, the role ensures that RUSONs, RUSOMs and RENs are employed and deployed in accordance with the Victorian DHHS RUSON/RUSOM/REN Employment and Implementation Guide, including all governance, scoping, planning, communication and EBA requirements. It supports these staff to work within their defined scope of practice through the use of approved core activity and exclusion lists, while enabling them to contribute safely and effectively to patient‑centred, evidence‑based care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives.
This stimulating role would suit an experienced Registered nurse or midwife who is flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challenge and enjoys working within a team that is dedicated to providing great service to their client group.
Our preferred candidate will have:

Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Minimum five years post-registration clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Experience supervising or supporting undergraduate nurses/midwives.

Ability to manage workforce planning, scheduling, and workforce data reporting.

Detailed understanding of the RUSON/RUSOM/REN scope of practice, including core duties and exclusion lists.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

Postgraduate qualifications in management, education, or leadership.

Strong knowledge of the relevant Enterprise Agreement and DHHS guidelines.

Demonstrated experience in nursing/midwifery leadership, student coordination, education, or workforce management
