CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond.
We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments.
CGH provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes the provision of Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other in-home services tailored to individual needs.
Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About Department
Heyfield Hospital/ Laurina Lodge is a private (not for profit) bush nursing hospital and aged care facility. There are 48 permanent beds & 3 respite beds, with a mix of high and low residents. Heyfield Hospital/Laurina Lodge is governed by the Heyfield Board of Management and managed through CGH.
About the Role
The role will work collaboratively to provide administrative, reception and clerical support services to the Heyfield Hospital through timely and efficient work practices, providing a customer focused quality service.
As part of this role, you may be required to provide administrative support and cover periods of sick leave, annual leave or extended leave across other Central Gippsland Health Aged Care facilities such as Stretton Park, Maffra Hospital & Wilson Lodge, as directed, to ensure continuity of service delivery.
Duties
- Collaborate with Managers to prepare and maintain staff rosters, and assist in coordinating leave coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
- Ensuring invoices are coded with correct account number and services and goods have been received for signing by Facility Manager
- Communicate effectively with My Aged Care and other relevant organisations to ensure residential clients have appropriate and valid ACCR prior to referral to Finance
- Oversee patient trust accounts and submit documentation to Finance Department to ensure prudential compliance requirements are met
- Drafting agendas, taking and writing up of minutes and preparation of staff education notices to ensure correct information management
