About Central Gippsland Health

CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students
About Department
The Learning Services department is a unit within the health service that assists with the implementation of the CGH organisational education framework.
Learning Services is part of Quality and learning directorate and has a primary focus on supporting the functions of education, learning and capability development, implementation of the organisational education framework, organisational orientation and mandatory competencies.
About the Role
Full-time 1.0EFT (Monday to Friday), Fixed term (12 Month Traineeship)
An exciting opportunity exists in the Learning Services team to support the day-to-day operations of the team while completing a Certificate III or IV in Business on the job. It will help you develop practical administrative skills within a healthcare setting, and support you with career development pathways within the organisation.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Learning Services team.
This will occur within the principles of care coordination, where patients/clients/residents have access to a highly coordinated health care and community support system.
Duties
- Is responsible for maintaining financial databases for invoice preparation, for example undergraduate placements and resuscitation training, including the preparation of invoice request forms.
- Assist with the organisation of education in-services and workshops through the printing of attendance lists, enrolling staff and creation of trybooking links/ flyers and catering.
- Is responsible for scanning and saving of education attendance records and assessment tools in the Learning services drive.
- Add/ remove staff from the Central Gippsland Health online learning system (LEARN) as per Human Resources or Nurse Unit Manager notification
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Willing to complete a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration.
- As sole administrator for the department you will need effective time management skills, critical thinking and the ability and confidence to work independently.
