Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Emergency Department team at Sale Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your leadership skills, helping to create a positive team culture while supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate emergency care to our local community.

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Emergency Department.

About the Role

As ANUM, you will provide clinical leadership and operational support to the Emergency Department, helping ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care and staff feel supported to deliver their best.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Clinical leadership: Support and guide nursing staff in delivering safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care.
• Operational management: Assist with the day-to-day coordination of the Emergency Department, supporting effective service delivery and departmental priorities.
• Patient flow: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support timely assessment, treatment and movement of patients through the department.
• Team support: Promote effective communication, collaboration and a positive workplace culture.
• Quality and safety: Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety.

About You

You are a confident and approachable nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced emergency environment. You bring sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting your colleagues and achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

You are ready to take on greater leadership responsibility and enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality care.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
• A postgraduate certificate, diploma and/or master's qualification in Emergency Nursing.
• A minimum of three years' experience in Emergency Nursing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• A commitment to safe, high-quality patient care and effective team collaboration.
