As part of this model CGH operates 178 residential aged care beds at 4 sites in Sale, Maffra and Heyfield in partnership with Heyfield Hospital/Laurina Lodge and Stretton Park Inc. These two organisations are well respected and embedded local not for profit organisations with which CGH has long standing management agreements.

About the Role
At CGH, graduate Enrolled Nurses undertake 2 clinical rotations over 12 months, with one rotation in a single purpose residential aged care facility and the other rotation in a multipurpose facility that incorporates both residential aged care and sub-acute or acute capabilities. Our graduate program includes dedicated educational support and a Graduate Coordinator. This program includes two paid days of extensive orientation to the hospital, paid study days and supernumerary time at the beginning of each rotation.
Duties
- Work collaboratively with all members of the CGH team.
- Manage time and prioritise patient care
- Demonstrate a high standard of ethical behaviour and professional practice at all times.
- Work within a culture of excellence, ethical conduct and inter-disciplinary collaboration.
- Support patient, client and community participation in decisions in all aspects of the service.
- Work within CGH policies, procedures and code of conduct.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Newly enrolled nurse with AHPRA registration (completed studies within last 18 months), or a Diploma of Nursing student who will be completing studies before July 2026
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A caring and empathetic nature; and a passion for delivering resident-centred care
