Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire.

CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond.
We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments.
CGH provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes the provision of Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other in-home services tailored to individual needs.
Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Role
The Aged Care Pool provides flexible staffing support across CGH residential aged care services including:
- Stretton Park
- Maffra Hospital
- Heyfield Hospital
- Wilson Lodge
Employees appointed to the Aged Care Pool will work on a casual basis across all sites as operationally required to support resident care and service delivery.
The Personal Care Attendant – Aged Care Pool provides effective and efficient personal care services to residents across CGH aged care facilities, meeting individual needs and preferences whilst upholding the vision, mission and values of CGH.
This role works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality resident-centred care across Stretton Park, Maffra Hospital, Heyfield Hospital and Wilson Lodge. Care delivery occurs within the principles of care coordination, ensuring residents have access to a highly coordinated health care and community support system.
The Personal Care Attendant works in a supportive team role with nursing and care staff and is required to work flexibly across all nominated CGH aged care sites as rostered.
Duties
- Participate in CGH aged care staff meetings and contribute to departmental discussions and quality activities.
- Treat residents/tenants with respect and dignity while being aware of their rights and the personal care service responsibilities
- Perform other duties reasonably requested by the Nurse Unit Manager or Director of Residential Aged Care consistent with capability and role delineation
- Provide support and facilitation of learning opportunities to personal care and undergraduate students from all disciplines
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent
- Consolidation of training with recent proven relevant experience
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in dementia or aged related health care
- Medication Endorsement desirable
- Current Food safety certification desirable
