Join a Leading Regional Medical Imaging Team
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Radiographer to join our expanding Medical Imaging Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive regional health service delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across a diverse range of modalities and clinical settings.
Our Medical Imaging Department provides services across General X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Dental Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and BreastScreen Victoria, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care. Working alongside experienced radiographers, sonographers, radiologists, and multidisciplinary clinicians, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional imaging services to our community.
About the Role
As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations while ensuring a safe, compassionate, and patient-centred experience. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support excellence in imaging services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols
- Delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism and empathy
- Ensuring radiation safety and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Maintaining accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Participating in quality improvement and professional development activities
- Contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team culture
- Supporting after-hours and on-call services as required
Wage scale will be in the range of Grade 1 Year 4 to Gr 2 year 4 depending on Experience.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor of Medical Imaging or equivalent qualification
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Victorian Radiation Use Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centred care and service excellence
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
- Experience across a range of general radiography examinations
- CT experience or willingness to develop CT capability
- Experience working within a regional or public health setting
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
