Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) Program 2027

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career and develop your skills in a specialty area?
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is inviting applications from experienced Registered Nurses to join our 12-month Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) Program, commencing 1 February 2027. The program provides a supportive and structured environment to broaden your clinical knowledge, develop your scope of practice and build confidence in your chosen specialty.
Opportunities are available across the following specialty areas:
- Emergency Department
- Critical Care Unit
- Medical Ward
- Surgical Ward
- Aged Care
- Women’s & Children’s Unit
- Operating Theatre
- Critical Care/Dialysis (dual rotation program)
- Oncology
The program is offered at 0.6–1.0 FTE and includes a rotating roster, supported clinical learning, online and face-to-face education, facilitated study days and written assessments. Successful completion may provide opportunities for ongoing employment within your specialty, postgraduate study and future career progression, including senior and clinical leadership roles.
We are seeking Registered Nurses with a minimum of 12 months’ experience who are motivated, enthusiastic and committed to ongoing professional development and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Applicants should be self-motivated learners, reflective practitioners and willing to dedicate time outside of rostered hours to meet program requirements.
