CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.

 

CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

Exciting opportunity for a Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join CGH Nurse Bank.

 

About the Role

Are you an experienced Nurse looking for your next challenge?  Are you flexible and enthusiastic and would like to work across a variety of acute / sub-acute and rehab clinical areas?

Come and join the CGH Nurse Bank team! Some of the departments you will cover include: Emergency, Medical Surgical, Women’s and Children’s, Day Procedure, Critical Care and Aged Care Facilities.

 

Duties

 

  • Support patient care in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to undertake systematic assessments of patients, develop and document the plan of care.
  • Recognise a change in the patient’s condition, in particular deterioration, take necessary action and document variation in the care plan. .
  • Work in a highly organised manner.
  • Support the coordination of admissions, transfers and discharges communicating with the in-charge Nurse proactively.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Nursing qualification – Batchelor certificate
  • AHPHA registration.
